Guia de registos de ensaios de embalagens.

A useful test record connects the intended use, sample identity, method, conditions, observations, evidence, and release decision.

Selecção do ensaio

“Tested” is incomplete without a method, sample, and decision.

Packaging can be exposed to opening cycles, friction, moisture, oils, temperature, stacking, vibration, compression, drops, handling, or a product-specific chemical environment. Select the test from the failure that matters to the product and route—not from a generic list of claims.

Boundary: this guide defines what to record. It does not set a universal pass/fail limit, create a certification, choose an ASTM or ISO method, or claim that any GloryStarPack project has passed a test without its project record.

1 · Map the failure mode

Start with the decision the test needs to support.

The same packaging can need different tests when the product, surface, climate, application, route, or customer expectation changes.

Test familyFailure to defineRecord at minimumRelease question
Fit and closureProduct movement, lid separation, drawer friction, insert collapse, or opening failure.Product and packaging revision, dimensions, cycles, method, observations, force or gap where relevant, and photos.Does the pack protect and open as intended?
Rub and appearanceScuffing, print transfer, coating change, foil loss, or unacceptable surface marking.Surface, contact material, load, stroke or cycles, conditions, rating method, photos, and reference sample.Does the customer-facing appearance remain acceptable?
Adhesion and exposureLabel lift, edge curl, ink change, adhesive transfer, water or oil damage.Substrate, adhesive, exposure, dwell, temperature, preparation, application method, observations, and images.Does the applied pack survive its stated use?
Handling and transitCrush, drop, vibration, abrasion, carton failure, or product damage in the intended route.Pack-out, product mass, carton identity, stacking or handling sequence, equipment, conditions, damage map, and decision. Is the tested pack-out suitable for the defined route?
Information and scanningUnreadable code, missing copy, color mismatch, or artwork revision error.Approved artwork, device or viewing condition, code identity, lighting, distance, result, and retained proof. Can the required information be read and reconciled?

2 · Build the record

Retain enough detail for another qualified person to reproduce the decision.

  • Identify the sampleProduct, packaging configuration, material, artwork, revision, lot or sample ID, quantity, and whether the sample represents production.
  • State the methodNamed method or internal procedure, equipment, settings, sequence, preparation, conditioning, operator, and deviations.
  • Capture the actual resultMeasurements, observations, cycle count, exposure, photos, defect location, failure mode, and the condition after the test.
  • Record the decisionPass, fail, conditional, more evidence required, redesign, retest, or another defined disposition with an owner and date.
  • Link the correctionWhen the result changes the material, artwork, structure, packing, or method, create a new revision and identify the retest trigger.

3 · Place the test in the workflow

Test before the next irreversible decision.

A test that happens after artwork release, bulk conversion, or shipment may document a problem without preventing it.

  1. 01

    Define the intended use

Describe the product, user, application, exposure, handling, storage, transport, destination, and failure consequence.

  2. 02

    Choose a representative sample

Match the material build, finish, adhesive, insert, closure, product mass, artwork, and pack-out to the decision being made.

  3. 03

    Approve the method and limits

Name the current method, conditions, sample count, measurements, rating, acceptance criteria, and decision owner before testing.

  4. 04

    Record and review

Keep the full observation record, photos, deviations, failures, correction, and re-test status with the sample revision.
